I’m a data scientist, software developer, UX researcher, privacy advocate, and open-source enthusiast with a strong interdisciplinary background in engineering, statistics, and sociology.
After completing my bachelor’s degree in engineering from Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) in Kerala, I worked as a software developer for more than a decade, specializing in PHP, MySQL, Python, and Linux administration. Driven by a passion for understanding the social implications of technology, I pursued a Master’s degree in Sociology from the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi. I further enhanced my analytical skills by earning a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Statistics from Indira Gandhi National Open University, also in Delhi.
Currently, I work as a data scientist while simultaneously developing a PhD proposal. My research interests lie at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction, Medical Informatics, and Science, Technology, and Society (STS), with a particular focus on Social Robotics. I am deeply intrigued by the potential of social robots to transform various aspects of human life and the societal implications of their integration. Additionally, I am fascinated by the dynamics of social media interactions and the phenomenon of social media activism, exploring how digital platforms shape public discourse, collective action, and social change. Drawing upon my diverse academic background and extensive industry experience, I aim to investigate the ethical, social, and psychological dimensions of human-robot interaction and the impact of digital spaces on society, ultimately contributing to the development of socially responsible, inclusive, and empowering robotic technologies and digital environments.
Throughout my career, I have been an advocate for user privacy and an active contributor to open-source projects, reflecting my commitment to transparency, collaboration, and social responsibility in the realm of technology.
